Kurious Orange
Straight from from the bar at the Hugo, the Kurious Orange is a refreshing summer spritz that derives a bit of sweetness and citrus from a fruit not often seen behind the bar, the kumquat.
This recipe was featured in the EQ at the Party Source podcast, Southern Comfort at Hugo.
Glassware/Bar Tools Needed
Bar tools can be found in Aisle 9B at the PartySource.
- 1-¾ oz Jigger
- Cocktail Shaker (traditional or Boston)
- Muddler
- 8 oz Old fashioned or rocks glass
Ingredients

- 1-½ oz Stoli Vodka (Aisle 12B)
- ½ oz simple syrup (Aisle 7C)
- 1 kumquat
- club soda (Aisle 10C)
- ice
Instructions
- Muddle simple syrup and kumquat together in shaker and pour into rocks glass (if you don’t own a muddler, a wooden spoon will suffice).
- Fill glass with ice, add vodka, and top off with club soda.
- Enjoy!
